Online Workshop November 11, 2026 – Session 1: “Smart Moves Instead of Missteps in PCM Coaching”

In coaching, there’s always the risk of getting caught up in the process and the coachee’s issues and stories, or of unconsciously falling into a kind of “profile bias.” Using specific examples from their own coaching cases, Michael and Karl show where these “pitfalls” lie, how we can identify them, and how we can deal with them.

• "Profile Bias" – What Pitfalls Lurk and How My Own Bias Can Affect Me ("Talking Myself Into Believing a rosier version of reality")
• Transference & Countertransference in Coaching—How I Recognize Them and Deal with Them
• “Band-Aids or Wound Healing” – Attempts at Behavior Change Before a Holistic Understanding
• A deep understanding of the PCM structure through the ongoing integration of the coachee’s current observed behavior into the PCM framework
• Taking into account the formative period (the past) to understand unconscious tendencies toward repetition in the present and future
• “The Family Home and Early Childhood” – A Concise Interpretation of Formative Experiences
• When unresolved phase-related issues become an existential threat and can lead to a “breakdown”
• Support for the “upcoming” phase transition
• Make the coachee aware of the (life) issue as a limitation to their developmental goal (primary psychological) need
• Integration into the self-management of daily life/communication processes (“floor manager”)

• Target audience: CPs who use PCM profiles in one-on-one or couples coaching
